Additional Features of Park Model RVs

What Makes Park Model RVs So Popular?

A Park Model RV includes features and details you will not get with a traditional RV, such as covered porches and household size appliances. Park Models allow you more flexibility because they are built on a fixed steel chassis and use conventional building materials, such as wood framing, drywall, and traditional roof materials.

Some features that make these Park Models so special:

  • Tall lofted ceilings, such as the display model at Heritage Home Center, provide a bright, airy feeling with lots of light from the floor to ceiling windows.

  • The loft is suitable as a kids playroom or a second bedroom and features a very generous 54" ceiling height — higher than any other park model RV home.

  • The exterior has real 2x4 wood framing, 2x6 floor joists, 10" eaves (overhang at the roofline) and a steep roofline pitch (slope of roof) sheathed in traditional ashpalt shingles, all of which combine to give it a very residential and well porportioned look.

  • Standard kitchen features include: a full-size refrigerator with ice maker, granite counter top (available as an option), microwave range hood, and a full size stove and oven. Recessed lighting, alder wood cabinets (other cabinet options are also offered) and pecan laminate "real wood look" flooring all combine to give a high-end, highly polished look.

  • The master bedroom has a full-size queen bed, built-in bay window with seat, and built-in matching wood cabinetry to save space yet provide the storage equivalent of a full size room bedroom.

  • Another Park Model advantage comes from the significant fuel savings that come from not towing around a traditional RV home. If you do wish to relocate for any reason, the steel chassis and high quality construction allow you the peace of mind of moving your home to a new site at nominal cost.

  • Lastly, since Park Models are built using traditional building materials, such as wood framing, drywall, and conventional plumbing and electrical fixtures, future maintenance or replacement materials are readily available from your local building store. There is no need to custom order expensive RV parts.
